jones  
Jessica Jones, District Manager
Jessica is responsible for the leadership of Redwood Landfill and overall management of the facility. She holds professional registrations as both a Civil and Structural Engineer in the state of California. She has been with Waste Management since 2003. Prior to coming to Redwood Landfill she worked as a landfill and facilities engineer for Waste Management's West Group Engineering Department, which includes operations in six western states.

"We can do so much here to help," says Jessica, listing increased recycling and commpostinng as well as producing electricity from waste. "We take extra care to do things right" she says.


Ramin  
Ramin Khany, Operations and Compliance Manager
Ramin has worked in the solid waste disposal and construction industries for the past 20 years. Ramin's responsibilities include the day-to-day management of landfill operations, compliance with tonnage limits and restrictions, oversight of equipment maintenance, and administration of health & safety programs for the facility.


Alisha  
Alisha McCutcheon, Environmental Protection Manager
Alisha came from West Virginia and as Environmental Protection Manager is responsible for ensuring landfill operations are performed in accordance with all Federal, State, and local laws and regulations.

Alisha lives in San Francisco and enjoys reading and traveling. "My favorite trips were Ireland, Japan and Canada," she says.


Avi  
Ali Ghavami, Scale House Manager
Ali Ghavami, is the scale house manager and has been with Redwood for 12 years. His duties include managing the load check program, scale weights and measures compliance, and tonnage reporting to various municipalities and state agencies. "We have a good group of people who all work together," says Ali.

Ali lives in San Rafael and enjoys reading, baseball, and classic movies. "Casablanca is my favorite, or anything with Humphrey Bogart."


Sarah  
Sarah Johnson, Administrative Assistant
Sarah Johnson, administrative assistant and recent graduate of Sonoma State is the first voice you hear when you call Redwood. "I love all the people here," she says.

Sarah lives in Rohnert Park and enjoys being with her friends.


Glen  
Glen Roycroft, Geotechnical Engineer
Glen is responsible for the oversight of the design and construction of Redwood Landfill and other Waste Management sites throughout the West. Before joining Waste Management 8 years ago, he worked as a geotechnical engineering consultant in Marin County. Glen holds professional registrations as both a Civil and Geotechnical Engineer in the state of California. "We have a beautiful site and I'm proud of the environmental controls we've installed.," Glen says.

Glen lives in Greenbrae and enjoys mountain biking and skiing with his family.


Mark  
Mark Verwiel, Hydrogeologist
Mark has worked as a hydrogeologist in the solid waste disposal industry for 17 years. In his role as Director of Groundwater Programs, Mark is responsible for of the management and leadership of groundwater protection programs for Waste Management's Western Group which includes operations in California, Arizona, Hawaii, Washington, Oregon, and New Mexico.


Candy  
Candy Hernandez, Weigh Master
Candy, who is a weigh master at Redwood, says "I like the people and the atmosphere, and doing something for the environment."

In her spare time, Candy participates in beach cleanups.


Joe  
Joe Leaf, Weigh Master
Joe has been with Waste Management for 9 years and works as a weigh master. "Redwood has a good family atmosphere with a good bunch of people," says Joe.

Joe lives in Novato.


Tanya  
Tanya Richard, Operations Specialst
Tanya Richard, a 6-year employee, is Redwood's operations specialist. "Coming to Redwood was the best choice I ever made," she says.

A third-generation Marin resident, Tanya lives in Novato and spends as much time as possible with her four grandchildren.


Frank Jr

Frank Antonio Jr., Operations Supervisor and
Frank Antonio Sr., Equipment Operator

Frank Antonio Jr., Redwood's operations supervisor, is responsible for oversight of heavy equipment, composting, and waste placing operations, along with overall maintenance of site infrastructure.

Redwood's father-son team has a special twist. Frank Jr. started working here first 20 years ago, and his father, a former long-haul trucker, joined afterwards.

Both men live in Novato and both enjoy hunting and fishing. Who's better? "My legs aren't what they used to be so I guess he's better," admits Frank Sr.


Rich  
Rich Silva, Equipment Operator
Rich Silva has been an equipment operator at Redwood for 6 years."I grew up on a dairy farm, so I like equipment," says Rich.

Rich lives in Petaluma where he was born and raised. He enjoys golfing and hunting. Rich had to give up his motorcycle, "so now I drive a golf cart," he says.


Don  
Don Perreault, Equipment Operator
Don Perreault, a 19-year veteran equipment operator at Redwood is responsible for overseeing the composting. "I see it from beginning to end," he says.

Don and his wife enjoy movies and music. Don was born, raised, and still lives in San Rafael.


Rhonda  
Rhonda Lepori, Equipment Operator
I trained horses for 17 years, and I like equipment better," says equipment operator Rhonda Lepori, who learned to drive heavy equipment when her family owned a mobile crushing business.

Rhonda and her family live in Cotati where they have two horses and a pony.


Benjamin  
Benjamin Samayoa, Equipment Operator
Benjamin, an equipment operator and Redwood's assistant supervisor for 18 years and enjoys spending time with his family. "My family is what's important," says Benjamin.

Benjamin lives in San Pablo. He enjoys cooking as well as going to Marine World, Great America, Disneyland and winter sledding with his family.
